Dr. Farr completed high school in Iran and then went on to receive a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from San Jose State University in San Jose, CA. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O) from Kirksville College in Kirksville, MO. He completed an orthopedic surgery Internship and Residency at Michigan State University. While there, Dr. Farr was promoted to clinical assistant professor. While not a requirement, Dr. Farr completed a Spine Surgery Fellowship in Louisville, KY through a program affiliated with Tulane University. Dr. Farr worked primarily at Jewish Hospital, Kosair Children's Hospital, and Norton Hospital, and was part of the clinical faculty at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Farr has also completed training programs in orthopedic trauma, hand surgery, spine surgery, pediatric orthopedics, and foot & ankle surgery. Dr. Farr's main interest, however, is in minimally invasive spine surgery, and he is one of very few spine surgeons that perform an endoscopic spinal fusion procedure.
