About / Dr. Sandeep Gupta, MD

Dr. Gupta was born in San Leandro and raised in Fremont, CA where he played several years of soccer in the Fremont Soccer League and attended Mission San Jose High School. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and then medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York where he graduated with honors in surgical research. He completed three years of surgical training at the Univeristy of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School and at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA.
He was the senior trauma resident at Harbor View Medical Center. Dr. Gupta then proceeded to UCLA to complete a residency in Primary Care and returned to Fremont to work for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in both the departments of Urgent Care and Internal Medicine.
He was selected into the Sports Medicine Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and the world-reknowned Rothman Institute of Orthopedics where he served as one of the team physicians for the world series major league baseball team, the Phillies. He served as the team physician for Cheyney College, Neumann University, Camden Rutgers University, and the New Jersey Camden Catholic Highschool. He has treated athletes of all ages in sports such as hockey, football, soccer, basketball, la crosse, track and field, dancing, and wrestling. His unique background in internal medicine and orthopedics brings a potent value to our practice.
